Working for Vive

Support Assistant
£8 - £9 per hour (circa 27hrs per week)

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed individual to assist a young lady with an acquired brain injury.

A little bit about me...

I live in the Belle Isle area of Leeds with my mum and my new born baby boy. I am really enjoying being a mum to my son and my own mum is helping me loads but I do require some support with him through the day. I would like to be able to take him out more especially now that the weather is picking up and I would love for someone to help me do this…

This role is a unique one as not only will you be supporting our client to over-come her difficulties she incurs resulting from her brain injury, you will also support her to look after her son and offer the correct advice on parenting where required. The role is community based and although you will be working with my client in her own home, the main purpose is to support her to access the community more.

For this role, we ideally required someone who has knowledge and understanding of acquired brain injuries and also relevant child care experience or qualifications. We would also prefer a driver with their own vehicle to make it easier to access the community.

To apply for this role please e-mail lucy@vivecare.co.uk with your current CV.

We are an equal opportunities employer.

Weekend Community Carer
£8+ per hour

We currently require a committed carer who can support a young lady with learning and physical disabilities to enjoy community activities on a weekend.

You will support our client for 3 hours on a Saturday and 3 hours on a Sunday. Times of shifts can be flexible.

Ideally you will have previous experience of supporting individuals with disabilities, however all mandatory training will be given to the right person.

Please call 0113 3202222 to apply for this role.

Support Worker – Brain Injuries
£7.00 per hour plus petrol allowance

We are currently looking for an experienced support worker to join an existing team supporting a gentleman with a brain injury.

‘I am a very independent gentleman in my mid 40’s and I live with my wife in a bungalow in Heckmondwike, Kirklees.
I need a support worker with a good sense of humour and out-going personality who likes the same things as I do. I like to go out and visit family and friends and sometimes I like to go to the pub for a drink. I use a wheelchair so I do need assistance with moving & handling but I try to do as much for myself as possible. I have support Mon – Fri 10:30 – 17:00 whilst my wife is at work and also 4 hours on a Saturday so that she can do the shopping! My new Support worker will work with an existing small team and share the shifts between them’

This would ideally suit someone looking to top up their weekly wages or someone looking for part time work.
We need you to have experience of supporting vulnerable adults and also be willing to use your own car for business use. Top up training and the opportunity to do your NVQ are available.
